Desk Top Background Pictures
On this page you'll find a listing of available cover and interior illustrations presented in their original form, but enhanced
by computer to clean up scratches, fading, and other problems. Each is in the public domain and is available to anyone
(copy and paste) who wishes to use the pictures for desktop background and screen-saver pictures. Each file is too
small for the picture to be used for other purposes, but the pictures make beautiful computer backgrounds for the
Burroughs fan who just can't get enough of the wondrous art done by great artists for the works of the master of
adventure, Edgar Rice Burroughs.
As I correct and enhance ERB art for my own computer files, I'll post it here. So check back every once in a while.
In this column, you'll find works wherein I have
added tints to the picture by infusing color,
building it layer by layer, until I have reached a
correct level and depth of color. I do this just for
the fun of it, and to develop variants for my
collection and, hopefully, for this cottage-
industry of mine as well. However, the links
listed here will only take you to a color version
of what was originally a black and white or
sepia-tone illustration.
In this column you'll find front cover illustrations
done for the magazine covers and book edition DJs
of ERB's works. I don't have them all, of course, but
I'm trying all the time to add to my files of these
beautiful works.
